Job Purpose
Sannam S4 is seeking to appoint an ambitious, target-orientated team player to engage with Royal Holloway University of London (RHUL), in enhancing its capacity to engage internationally and expand the student recruitment market in India. The candidate should be able to strengthen the client’s (University) associations/partnerships in India, implement the India Student Recruitment Strategy and its ambitions to significantly grow student recruitment from India.
The focus of this position will be student recruitment and conversion. This will include working directly with prospective and current students as well as other key stakeholders including agents, schools, alumni, and institutional partners. In the above regard, the candidate will be expected to provide assistance in recruitment coordination services throughout India. The post-holder will also help develop and maintain new relationships within the education communities across India and support promotional campaigns and events.
The position will involve domestic travel or/and attend online events; therefore he/she is expected to be flexible to work during the weekends and evenings and be resilient. As the candidate will be working remotely with the University’s on-campus team, staff, and advisers across countries, he/she should be highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working with differences in time zones.
The candidate will work on a full-time basis and will have to demonstrate initiative. These duties are a guide to the type of work that the role holder will initially be required to undertake but may vary in detail depending on the successful candidate’s particular skills and experience.

Main Responsibilities
As Recruitment Adviser, you will support the Senior Recruitment advisor and the RHUL International Student Recruitment (ISR) team, to implement marketing plans to recruit high quality Indian students. As the Recruitment Adviser, you will be assigned to support recruitment and conversion activities for the university. You will provide assistance to the university’s team in India and its ISR team at all stages of their student recruitment process, including maintaining of best practices and confidentiality of university data. You will be engaged in delegated marketing and outreach activities, database maintenance, stakeholder relations and other initiatives undertaken by the client to enhance their footprint in India.
Specifically, you will:
1. Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders in India such as education agents, prospective students, school high school counsellors and partners
2. Collaborate with internal university stakeholders
3. Enhance student attraction, conversion and retention
4. Expand, extend and enhance applicant experience and success initiatives
Recruitment
1. Respond to all enquiries via email, telephone and social media for recruitment and, partnership and corporate training opportunities within set standards.
2. Use University’s Customer Relation Management software(s) and related tools to manage agents, leads and applications.
3. Provide prompt, comprehensive, accurate pre-admission counselling to ensure that students apply to programmes that are commensurate with their academic potential and career goals.
4. Follow up on matters like offer acceptance, additional document requirements and other admission related matters via telephone, email, and face to face interactions.
5. Review applications and documents submitted by students and/or agents, when required
6. Maintain excellent ‘customer service’ by answering all enquiries from prospective students and parents. Call the students met during the recruitment fairs and focus on building the application database.
7. Support promotional campaigns such as promotion of scholarships to offer-holders through distribution of materials to relevant stakeholders
8. Attend recruitment focused education events, tradeshows, conferences, webinars, virtual events and others, and represent the university as and when required
9. Cover education fairs and recruitment events across India if other staff are unable to attend to meet and advise prospective students and offer-holders
10. Conduct market research by gathering information about India high schools, school counsellors, competitor institutions and their entry requirements.
11. Provide product and service information to agency managers/staff as required and support them with marketing collateral materials.
12. Follow up with students met at recruitment events as per an agreed-upon schedule to increase application conversion.
Marketing / Brand Development
1. Work in close partnership with the University-based Marketing and Communications team to develop and implement marketing campaigns that support RHUL’s reputation and recruitment objectives.
2. Provide market and audience insights to inform the development of marketing campaigns.
3. Ensure that all marketing materials are consistent with the university brand position and visual identity standards.
5. Engage with India-based third-party agencies to assist with local marketing campaigns.
6. Support the Marketing and Communications teams to maximize reputation building
opportunities for the University.
7. Arrange and attend alumni activities within India, as required
8. Contribute to the university’s digital marketing and social media initiatives in India.
Information and reporting
1. Develop and maintain a key contacts list and share a report with the client as and when necessary.
2. Provide regular market feedback to the line Manager as and when required.
3. Recording information from recruitment events and campaigns.
4. Develop and implement a thorough reporting framework, ensuring appropriate and time sensitive reporting by relevant KPIs.
5. Align reporting outputs to university systems and process where possible.
Other
1. Conduct support for recruitment in a professional manner, observing confidentiality in relation to the University data, market intelligence, and other knowledge and information about the University.
2. If required by the client, participate in training virtually from India.
3. Provide a consistently high standard of customer service.
4. Accompany Institution personnel in India on official visits as needed. Support and plan delegation visits to India. Coordinating with travel vendors and hotels for Venue bookings as per requirement
5. Any other duties as directed, commensurate with the scope and classification of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS and TRAINING
Educated to degree level or equivalent.
Relevant postgraduate or professional qualification in business or marketing.
EXPERIENCE
Experience of working in student recruitment or similar environment for at least 3-4 years
Overseas study or living experience.
Prior experience working in the education sector (preferably in an administrative, managerial, or marketing role).
Experience of developing marketing campaigns and using social media as a communication tool.
