Job Purpose

Reporting to the Principal Adviser in India, the focus of this role is to assist the teams in the University of Queensland and India and support the recruitment function of the University of Queensland to grow the Universities presence in the India market. The candidate should have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and should have the ability to work cross culturally and build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders in the education sector.

As the candidate will be working remotely with the University of Queensland, staff and advisers across countries, he/she should be highly organized, self-motivated and comfortable working with differences in time zones.

Job Responsibilities:

Main Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Deliver outbound call campaigns at various stages throughout the student journey to facilitate conversion with the goal of increasing the acceptance rate;

2. Develop resources to assist conversion activities including phone scripts, standard text and knowledgebase content;


3. Update and maintain student files ensuring that individual applicant records are accurate and current;



4. Conduct integrity checks of prospective students, as instructed by the University, to ensure that they meet the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirements;
5. Develop resources to maintain exceptional standards of customer service on the universities CRM platform;


6. Provide a monthly activity report of activities undertaken on a daily basis and of relevant market updates, as well as produce and interpret student data;

7. Maintain up-to-date information on all relevant scholarship schemes in Australia;

8. Assist the University in monitoring compliance by its education agents in India;
9. Undertake other relevant activities by the University, as required;

10. Ensure a strong knowledge of the requirements of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000, the National Code 2007 and associated legislation, and related responsibilities and procedures developed by the University.

Candidate Attributes:

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Bachelor degree in business management, commerce, marketing, project management or equivalent.
Relevant postgraduate or professional qualification

EXPERIENCE
Experience in a sales or account management environment working with stakeholders and arranging events or marketing initiatives within timelines to contribute to performance targets.
Demonstrated knowledge of the India education market and drivers of international education across key segments.
Experience of the higher education sector in Australia, preferably including study abroad, through work or study
Experience of counselling students and parents
Experience of developing collaborative agreements
Experience predominantly in data analytics, primary research quantitative techniques and primary research methods
