The ideal candidate should have 3-4 years (post qualification) of experience in advisory and compliance services related to Indian tax and regulatory aspects. The candidate should have prior experience of working with not-for-profit entities in India. Further the candidate should have sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Job Responsibilities:

 Indirect Tax
- Undertaking compliances under the Goods and Service Tax (GST) laws;
- Perioding reconciliations of tax balances including input credit;
- Thorough knowledge of GST refund process and requirements;
- Assisting finance function to ascertain treatment under the GST laws;
- Periodic reviews to ascertain compliance with various requirements of the GST laws;
- Advising clients on the GST framework and applicability on proposed operations;
- Evaluating changes in GST law to keep abreast with all developments;

 Direct Tax
- Undertaking withholding tax and other compliances under the direct tax laws;
- Keeping abreast with the developments in the direct tax laws;
- Analyzing transactions from a direct tax standpoint;
- Active participation in tax audit and corporate tax return filing process;
- Working knowledge of direct tax implications on not-for-profit organizations;
- Working knowledge of transfer pricing provisions;
- Preparing response to departmental notices and communications;
- Good hold on international taxation including tax treaties and MLI;
- Working knowledge of individual taxation including expatriates;

 FCRA
- Practical knowledge of the FCRA law;
- Undertaking compliances under the FCRA law;
- Advising clients on the implications under FCRA laws and evaluating the implication under the same on a particular transaction.

 Others
- Understanding of the FDI regulations and exchange control regulations around inbound investment;
- Due diligence and financial modelling;

 Superior communications skills, both written and verbal English, along with advanced skills with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Power-point and word).

 Ability to assist the team in recurring / non-recurring tax and regulatory services offered to clients, which include but are not limited to:

- Planning & advice on matters related to business structuring and operations of international corporations entering India (with regard to above listed regulations).
- Preparing research presentation based on specific client requirements, giving detailed overview, implications and advice on tax, regulatory and financial aspects.
