Task Summary
The National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) in Cambodia has recalibrated its focus to find undetected cases through the active case finding (ACF) approach, in addition to the passive case finding (PCF) approach. In line with NTP, USAID and Khmer HIV/AIDS NGO Alliance (KHANA) in partnership with Cambodian Health Committee (CHC), Cambodia Association for Anti-Tuberculosis (TB) (CATA), and the Centre for Health and Social Development (HSD) is currently implementing an intervention, Community Mobilization Initiatives to End TB (COMMIT). COMMIT aims to improve TB diagnosis, treatment, and prevention along with addressing stigma and discrimination against people with TB.
Given that COMMIT is in its third year of implementation, a mid-term assessment is planned to assess program’s performance to date and identify strengths and weaknesses of the implemented components, key bottlenecks/challenges, and actionable recommendations for improvements to meet the activity’s intended objectives. The results and evidence gathered by the assessment will be used to develop recommendations to inform the design of a new USAID TB activity/strategy in Cambodia. Sambodhi Research and Communications Pvt. Ltd. would be the agency carrying out the mid-term assessment for COMMIT
