Job Summary
This role provides with tremendous opportunity to lead and contribute to high quality multi-input development programmes across India. The candidate shall techno-managerial leadership in designing and executing evaluations. S/he is expected to significantly contribute in writing proposals, analysing data and writing reports and other knowledge products.

Job Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities

· Conceptualize, design and deploy cutting-edge monitoring, evaluation, research and learning practices across various public health projects.
· Develop the capacity and technical expertise of project staff in the field and headquarters to undertake sound Monitoring, Evaluation & Research activities and to use data and findings for effective decision making.
· Lead the development of high quality, scientific research and evaluation proposals for various public health projects.
· Conceptualize and implement marketing/business strategy for public health portfolio within the organisation. This includes developing opportunities with new and existing clients, tracking upcoming RFPs, leading proposal development teams, networking, etc. 
· Lead client engagement during the entire project cycle.
· Assist and lead the project team in the development of reports, presentations, peer-reviewed journal articles and other communication materials.
· Make and deliver presentations of reports / proposals to clients / potential clients.
· Liaison with partner organizations, consultants, vendors and other relevant agencies.

Candidate Attributes:

Education
The qualified candidate(s) will have a Master’s/Doctorate degree in a relevant discipline (i.e. Epidemiology, Public Health or a related field as long as the candidate has a strong foundation in qualitative methods).

Experience
· 10-12 years of work experience in Public Health Implementation, Public Health Research and/or M&E.
· Thematic expertise in primary health care, health systems strengthening, public health service delivery etc.
· Strong contextual understanding of the India Public health system
· Strong familiarity with research methodologies and data analysis.
· Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
· High personal motivation, self-management, detail-orientated; ability to take responsibility for meeting deadlines.
· High degree of comfort with change, and the ability to be agile and adaptable as the projects evolve in large complex health systems and their health technologies.
· Demonstrated skills in data management and using qualitative data programs (e.g., NVIVO) as well as statistical program for quantitative data analysis (e.g. – STATA, SPSS, R)
· Demonstrated knowledge of research processes, systematic reviews, and evidence syntheses;
· Excellent communication skills, including strong writing, research, and interpersonal skills;
· High-level conceptual, analytical, and critical appraisal skills; and
· Demonstrated initiative and willingness to work closely with members of a research team.
Interest in mentoring fellow colleagues.
· Strong relational skills and be able to exert influence and work across sectors (primary care and community).
· Ability to work independently and without direct supervision, and problem solve technical and methodological issues that arise during the course of the research.
· Must be able to exhibit a high level of professionalism, judgement, ethical conduct, discretion and diplomacy.
