Job Description:
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Is responsible for the overall technical design and build of a project. The Technical Architect works as a team member along with the Engagement Manager and supporting team members to deliver the complete solution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Co-team with the Solutions Architect to produce a technical specification for application development and systems integration requirements
Produce a detailed technical design document to match the solution design specifications
Complete/oversee the development and quality assurance efforts
Participate and lead the project meetings with the customer
Create POCs to conduct feasibility study for critical features that need research
Desired Skills and Experience
Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in Mobile (Android, iOS) technologies and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to design and implement a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast moving environment.
The candidate MUST possess:
Experience with mobility domain (Android, iOS or Windows Phone) and related technologies, with JSP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax, etc.
Experience with enterprise automation and integration tools
Strong presentation, writing and communication skills in public and private meeting forums
Willingness to travel to client locations
Good knowledge and understanding of Web Service API’s
Deployment and configuration experience in respective mobility platforms.
Ability to understand the business requirements and converting them into solution designs
Knowledge in web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints and be able to adapt and prioritise
Experience with API methodologies including SOAP, RESTful, textual data exchange formats like JSON, XML, CSV, etc
Thought leadership in emerging web design technologies, web design integration, prototyping , database driven content and web based user interfaces
Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering software that optimizes architecture activities across company needs, business constraints and technological realities
Should have participated in, and be familiar with, Agile (Scrum) project methodologies
5-7 years of relevant experience in professional services, development or customer support operations
Prior experience in Javascript frameworks like AngularJS, BackboneJS, JQuery / JqueryMobile will be an added advantage.
Proven Development consulting experience
Hands on with at least one of these databases… MySQL, MS-SQL Server, Oracle (query performance optimization/tuning, stored procedures)
