Content Marketing Copywriting
• Act upon the requests of Author Marketing Team to edit technical content received from particular
authors or subsets of authors & convert them into author interviews, author blogs, author articles
and scripts for author videos.
• Working with Category Management, to understand how to optimize the content for a particular
category.
• Conduct continuous research to identify different technical content types that can be created for
content marketing.
• Take on board the feedback you receive on the content created & make changes as required.
• As and when necessary (determined by your schedule) conduct rewrites of currently published
titles to optimize the Content in an attempt to drive better discoverability and revenue of Titles
associated with it.
• Ensure that the content copy includes keyword optimized backlinks to Amazon pages and Packt
pages (product pages)
Content Availability & Quality:
• Managing the content pipeline for your team, maintaining a well-stocked pipeline of both short and
longer-form content awaiting publication to ensure there are no gaps.
• Managing the quality of the content you publish, editing, plagiarism checks and proofing as
necessary, working to strict guidelines and safeguarding Packt’s brand reputation
• Ensuring the best possible customer experience of the content, creating engaging and interesting
headlines and a good, mobile-first reading experience.
• Optimizing for keywords and SEO within content to maximize visibility and engagement
• Tracking and evaluating engagement metrics for each post, and using this data in a structured way
to make informed decisions about content posting.
• Ensuring feedback loop from customer data to the Author Marketing Executive
• Conduct regular desktop research to identify potential enhancements and optimizations to
Content Create that are new or haven’t been considered by Packt
• Submit these to your line manager for consideration for testing and implementation if successful.
Data Capture & Reporting
• Producing regular analysis of what is and isn’t working, and building this into content creation.
• Preparing and sharing reports to all relevant stakeholders for all Content Types created for
different sites/purposes & the analytics around them.
