DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, build, and maintain our high-availability infrastructure across multiple cloud providers.

2. Drive the scalability of our systems and services, aiming for a 100x increase.

3. Develop comprehensive automation solutions to monitor system health, perform routine maintenance, and increase system resilience.

4. Proactively identify potential issues and implement solutions to prevent service interruptions.

5. Evaluate and implement industry-standard security practices, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems.

6. Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to ensure efficient, effective solutions.

7. Lead incident response and postmortems, driving resolution and learning from every issue.

8. Stay abreast of the latest trends in cloud technology and scalability techniques to propose improvements to our systems.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

2. Experience in SRE, DevOps, or similar roles.

3. Proven experience with multiple cloud providers, such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.

4. Solid knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration systems.

5. Demonstrated ability to scale systems by at least an order of magnitude.

6. Expertise in automating large-scale systems.

7. Strong understanding of networking, distributed systems, and cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

8. Proficient in at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby, Go, etc.)

9. Excellent knowledge of security protocols, standards, and best practices.

10. Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills.

11. ITIL, CCSP, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
