Devops Engineer

Required:
1. Knowledge of technology best practices for building a modern automated DevOps platform
2. Good understanding of technologies and experience in building a highly scalable and fault
tolerant system
3. DevOps tool chain experience: GitHub, Artifactory, SonarQube et al.
4. Configuration and continuous deployment tools experience – for example Spinnaker/Ansible/Chef
5. Strong scripting skills – Python and Bash.
6. Cloud computing deployment and management experience – AWS with Cloud Formation and
SAM ideally. Or other public clouds such as GCP or Azure.
7. Monitoring tools Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog.
8. Good practical knowledge with SQL/RDBMS, PostgreSQL preferred.
9. Knowledge about messaging systems like AWS Kinesis/AWS SQS/RabbitMQ.
10. Knowledge of Linux/UNIX and TCP/IP Subnet.
11. Good understanding and practice Agile/Lean projects SCRUM, KANBAN etc.
12. Practical knowledge with Git flow and GitHub flow branching strategies.
13. Strong English communication skills

Amazing to Have
1. Distributed system knowledge applicable to a microservice architecture
2. Breadth of knowledge – operating systems, networking, distributed computing, cloud computing
3. Development experience in Java, Python
4. Familiar with data lake concepts
5. Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, Cassandra.
