AWS Engineer
- Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of a standard Arup AWS infrastructure.
- Provide Automated configuration using configuration tool(s) such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible.
- Provide continuous improvement of the AWS infrastructure, including access to new AWS services.
- Technical expert and point of contact for business colleagues and project delivery teams where AWS knowledge and company standards are required.
- System maintenance and testing.
- Provide mentoring and training of cloud technologies to related IT teams in provisioning and managing AWS services.
- Responsible for gathering user requirements.
- Contribute to the ongoing Cloud strategy and associated designs to build capability and competency.
- Assist with AWS integrations to Arup systems
- Work with a varied set of global stakeholders and develop effective relationships
- Demonstrate a range of delivery methodologies
- Work closely with the project and technical specialist teams to ensure business needs are understood and delivered
- Ability to troubleshoot in large and complex environments.
2 - 6 years
B.Tech/B.E,
- AWS Accreditation or other professional certifications are preferred
- Well versed in internet architectures including web, application and database components.
- Familiarity with continuous deployment tools including Git, Jenkins and Chef.
- Understanding of network and security fundamentals.
- Experience of Windows, Linux and storage provisioning.
- Familiarity with load-balancing for resilience and scaling.
- Scripting skills in particular Python, JSON and Javascript.
- Be able to engage both with technical teams and business stakeholders to achieve desired business outcomes & benefits
