CarDekho is looking for an experienced manager to join our team to lead our Pricing and Inventory Strategy group. The candidate will lead a team of car category managers and analysts responsible for all aspects of car inventory management, pricing, and analytics.
The candidate will create the analytical framework to provide the insights and action plans to ensure projected margin forecasts on cars listed on the platform are met. Acting as the important link between marketing, data science and procurement, you will create a financial and operational link between these groups and influence critical decisions driven through pricing strategy and analytics.
5 - 11 years
Any graduation, and MBA/PGDM
• Develop car segment or category-level framework that encompasses all pieces of vehicle acquisition, and pricing, and merchandising (if any), providing customers best in class selection and value for vehicle buying journey
• Lead a team of analysts who are responsible for day-to-day execution, acting on inventory, margin, pricing and analytics and actions related to their car segment (each analyst will work on different segments).
• Balance individual car segment needs with overall portfolio / category dynamics with respect to margin and selection.
• Act as liaison between cross-functional groups to develop channel purchasing and pricing strategies that improve margin and sales
• Ensure segment level inventory mix on cardekho.com, and recommend changes to procurement policy and pricing to match our online mix to customers’ preferences
Inventory & Pricing Controls,
• Bachelor/ master’s degree in business, finance, economics, or related field
• 6+ years of relevant experience in category and inventory management, preferably in an eCommerce environment
• Strong strategic, financial, and analytical skills; can easily translate data from an array of sources into insights and recommendations.
• Strong collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional teams
• Flexible, resilient and comfortable working in “grey areas” that are constantly changing.
• Ability to confidently converse with and present to senior management.
• Good to have strong analytical skills, specifically in SQL and Tableau
