Job Description:

This role will handle medical billing for US clients.

Educational Qualifications:

Any graduation

Job Responsibilities:

• Work directly with the insurance companies, healthcare providers and patients to get a claim processed and paid.
• Verify patients’ insurance coverage
• Demographic entry of the patient’s information.
• Use coded data to produce and submit claims to insurance companies.
• Review and appeal unpaid and denied claims
• Pay and process claims within designated authority level.
• Timely and accurate processing of claims based on edits and business rules/navigators.
• Report any discrepancies found in the system to the Team Leader/Manager or client for further handling, resolution and reporting to designated department for immediate correction.
• Review insurance claim forms and related documents for completeness and make appropriate decisions regarding claims processing.
• Handle collections on unpaid accounts
• Report overpayments, underpayments, and other irregularities
• Meet individual and departmental standards with regards to quality and productivity.
• Ability to handle protected health information in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA)

Medical Billing , typing speed , Basic Aptitude , Computer Skills

Candidate Attributes:

• Typing speed of 30 to 35 words per minute
• Desire for knowledge/attitude to learn
• Good communication skills
• Good reasoning and Analytical skill
• Knowledge of MS Office suite
