Sr. System Administrator
Job Description & Responsibilities:
• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
• Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices
• Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
• Define network policies and procedures
• Monitor network performance and integrity (availability, utilization, throughput, good put, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
• Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure.
• Mentor team members on technical issues.
• Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
• Communicate with users when needed
• Maintain complete technical documentation
• Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
• Maintain network security, Vulnerability assessment & fixes.
• Proven experience in a network administrator role.
• Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
• Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.
• Professional certification (CCNA). CCNP and CEH are preferred.
• Solid background in network administration and architecture
• Understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols.
• Sharp troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently
5 - 11 years
B.Tech/B.E ,and MCA
• Troubleshooting, installing and updating desktop PC hardware, software, printers, scanners, phones and other
peripherals.
• Configuration and set-up of all new server systems required internally for the company’s activities.
• Firewall administration, anti-virus updates and overall responsibility for company IT security.
• Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions and access rights.
• Provide telephone and desktop support to internal users and provide training where necessary.
• Forecasting any needed improvements, budgeting for and implementing any changes.
• Manage all network hardware and equipment including routers, switches and hubs.
• Ensure network connectivity of all work stations
• To provide technical support; answering support queries either onsite or via phone or email.
• To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management
principles.
• To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues.
• To log all calls on the call logging system and maintain full documentation.
• Respond to inquiries from clients and help them resolve any hardware or software problems.
• Maintain a log of any software or hardware problems detected.
• Support users in the use of Computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice.
• To allocate more complex service issues to the relevant IT Support member.
• To arrange for external technical support where problems cannot be resolved in house.
System Administration , Window , Windows Administration , VLPN , LAN , WAN , Trouble Shooting , DNS , DHCP
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Four or more years must experience in the IT industry.
Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as initiative and problem solving skills to use discretion in directly assisting internal and external clients from a systems perspective
Demonstrated competence with respect to resource deployment and management
Ability to manage many projects simultaneously, prioritizing appropriately
Experience in securing Windows systems.
Periodic reports and metrics collection for system analysis
Self-disciplined and highly motivated
Should be open to work in 24*7 environments.
Should be Microsoft & or Cisco Certified
MCSE Window server 2008/2012 and CCNA (desired)
