Design Engineer-CATIA-Seating Foam
Job Description:
o Follow the work instructions and work descriptions given by the product design engineer.
o Follow the set OEM standards and CAD methodology.
o Follow the systems and procedures of Faurecia - Only CAD / Design related
o Complete the assignment within the estimated time or before the decided delivery date as given by PDE.
o Ensure regular daily timesheet punching.
o To ensure the availability of information mentioned in the work order e.g., CAD data and relevant documents.
o Understand the work description and contact the product design engineer in case of any query.
o To fill up the checklist before delivery of the project & get it approved from /Product Design Engineer.
o To do self-inspection and take ownership of the work done-Foam design per required methodology,comparision with i/p & kanban closure with Checklist
o To highlight issues to / Product Design Engineer and propose improvement ideas for continuous improvement on processes and systems.
o Ensure maximum usage of section and macros.
o To adhere and respect shift schedule and timings.
o To plan leaves in advance with intimation to Design and Development Team Leader and Product Design Engineer.
o Respond to all training invitations and ensure 100% training attendance for all accepted trainings.
o To ensure flexibility and multi-tasking to work in different work groups and projects.
o To uphold & abide by code of ethics & Management.
Experience Range:
2 - 4 years
Educational Qualifications:
-B.Tech/B.E in Mechanical , -Diploma in Mechanical
Skills Required:
CATIA , Seating , Foam
Candidate Attributes:
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Minimum education level: ▪ Bachelors Degree / Diploma in mechanical / Automobile engineering.
Experience :
o Bachelors Degree / Diploma in mechanical/ automobile/ production engineering with prior experience of minimum 1 - 2 years in CAD Softwares (CATIA / UG etc) and Foams.
Skills and competencies
Ready for 3rd party payroll
o Good communication skills in English.
o Knowledge in relevant engineering domain (Seatings,interiors, etc) and Seating terminology.
o Good understanding of Foam part design & tooling Knowledge as per GET training syllabus.
o Good knowledge of CAD Methodology and best practices as per GET Training syllabus
o Understanding the Basics of Foam Design & process .
